I like Thursday afternoons! It's the time I can say I'm done for the week, YAY! Well, it's just that I'm done with my teaching schedules and the kids have no homeschool lessons on Fridays except for some extra curricular activities so we don't have to be up so early in the morning. So it's really the best time for me to do Tea Talk posts on Thursday afternoon.
I just had a cup of my favorite instant herbal coffee. I'm trying to limit my coffee intake but knowing that this is a herbal coffee, I can go over my limit without guilt :-)
My cup is just between the size of a teacup and a mug. Just right for the amount of coffee I want.
I'm feeling just fine. Don't you just love that kind of feeling? I know Christine does :-)
On my mind is the visit of the Social Welfare Department to our center next week. They are to check if we really are a legitimate charity foundation. Although we don't want to be "showing off" of what we have done to serve our community, we need to display pictures of our community services on the wall.
On top of my lists of things to do, I have to write this down:
Take rest; a field that has rested gives bountiful crop.
~Ovid
Speaking of rest, I would like to share some photos I took last Friday when we took our homeschoolers to a free concert at the park. We went there earlier so they can go boating. I wasn't in the mood to go under the heat of the sun on midday but I enjoyed taking photos, as usual. Only 2 people are allowed to go in a boat at a time and we cannot let the girls alone so dh had to go twice.
I had a good rest under the trees as I watched them having fun in the sun.
Ruth, I just grinned when I read your post. :D I'm so glad you're feeling fine!! And I'm glad you're able to relax as the weekend approaches.
ReplyDeleteI would have loved to sit with you on the shore, taking pictures and maybe sipping an iced drink (it's so cold here I'm having a hard time thinking of something cold to drink!). I love lakes and rivers and oceans--anything water. It would've been lovely to sit with you and just talk and enjoy the afternoon. :)
Have a beautiful weekend!!
Christine
I think it is restful spending time by the water! Canoeing looks like fun for the girls.
ReplyDeleteI love the quote about rest. I need to do more of it!
How odd to think of you in the heat of the mid-day sun while we are here bundling up with mittens, scarves, hats, and snow boots!
ReplyDeleteSuch lovely photos of what looks like it was a lovely afternoon!
Prayers for all to go well with the Social Investigators.
